Located near Jackson Junction, this large steel trestle bridge crosses the Little Turkey River along IA-24.
Built in approximately 1930, likely to replace a similar bridge, this structure consists of four deck girder spans, supported by steel towers and concrete bases.
Little is currently known about the bridge, and more information is being sought on it. It is a large structure, and has an overall heavy appearance.
Currently, the bridge is owned by Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern. Little alterations appear to have been made since the original construction of the bridge.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
